You define art different from me; I make art for a different purpose than you. Although one thing that always struck me is that our definitions are the same as some other artist. One additional task that I have as an artist is to distinguish myself from the definition of an artist that is given by society. I am not an artist that draws portraits, or an artist that paints landscapes. I am an artist that designs patterns and paints abstractions. I am not an artist that constantly uses my eyes to create a piece. I am an artist that uses my mind to create my artworks.
I consider myself as a rebel artist, and an artist who finds the "fine art" in the art of abstraction and illusion. The reason why I love doing abstract art is, because I don't have to look at an object and try to imitate it on another surface. With abstraction, I can take that object and create anything that I want that object to be, but that doesn't mean that I don't have any "fine art" or direct observation skills.
I find my inspiration to create art from the world that's around me and the world that's inside of me. With that being said, I use the conflicts, situations, and emotions that are taking place both externally and internally. The various hues in all of my pieces come from Skittles, which is one of my favorite candies, and random objects with colors that interest me or happen to be grouped together. I make art as a form of self-expression, a way to relieve stress, the one place where I feel free and given the ability to do anything that I want to. I make art for those who are unable to make art and as a form of communication to those who cannot hear, but see. I am an artist who does not follow the ways of society.
In my spare time, I also write poetry using the same inspiration that I use to create art. I incorporate my own expressions, the expressions for/of/from someone else, and the common expressions that some or a majority of people would have.
